FBI offers $5K reward in Navy Yard Chipotle assault investigation (fox5dc.com) — Federal and DC authorities are asking Navy Yard residents for help after a fight broke out at the Chipotle on 1255 First Street SE on May 16, with everyone fleeing before police arrived. The FBI Washington Field Office is offering up to $5,000 and MPD up to $1,000 for tips that identify those involved, and they're urging anyone with information to contact investigators or submit anonymous tips.
   

2. Man accused of vandalizing Georgetown Cupcakes linked to a second vandalism case on M Street (wusa9.com) — DC police are asking for your help identifying a man linked to two costly vandalism incidents in Northwest, including a $10,000 window-smashing at Georgetown Cupcake on M Street. Surveillance video shows the suspect throwing an empty keg through the bakery's front window early Monday, and investigators believe he also damaged another nearby business in April.
   

3. Trump says White House ballroom will be a 'shield' as he shows off construction site (mycentraloregon.com) — A major White House construction project in Washington, D.C., is moving forward as President Donald Trump touts a new underground ballroom complex he says will boost security for the capital. He describes six subterranean stories, a "drone port" roof, and thick reinforced materials, while legal challenges continue over whether Congress must authorize the controversial, largely privately funded expansion.
   

4. Jury acquits 2 business executives of bribing Navy admiral for government contract (wdhn.com) — A high-profile Navy corruption case just wrapped up in Washington, D.C., where a federal jury acquitted two business executives accused of bribing a retired four-star admiral for a military contract. The retrial followed an earlier hung jury and comes as the admiral himself is already serving a prison sentence after a separate conviction. Defense attorneys hailed the verdict as proof the government's bribery theory didn't convince jurors.
   

5. Patriot League 'A' Finalist Marin Priddy Transferring From American To Miami-FL (swimswam.com) — A standout American University swimmer who came to campus in Washington in 2024 is transferring to the University of Miami after a breakout sophomore season. Marin Priddy, a Patriot League 'A' finalist, significantly improved her sprint and breaststroke times, and her departure means AU and local fans will lose one of the program's top performers.
